Complete results, from the blood tests I wrote about a few weeks ago, came in yesterday and I am now on an additional prescripted medication which I take every morning. I took the second for the first time this morning and, like yesterday, am really tired. Especially around the late afternoon. Take that for whatever it's worth! 2/27/2001 03:50:10 PM .:. | Discuss

Zzzzzzzzzzzz... One of the initial side effects to the medicine I'm currently taking to attempt to rid me of migraines is being very sleepy. I took a four hour nap yesterday in addition to the regular sleep I always get. And all day I've been fighting the urge to curl up and go to sleep. It's hard to believe all of this need for sleep comes from a very tiny little pill. Harder to believe that I'll need to take this pill nightly for 2 to 6 months before I know if it works or not! 2/26/2001 04:41:32 PM .:. | Discuss

Yep. I felt the earthquake yesterday at about 3:18pm. It was the first quake in nearly a decade, I think, that I actually felt and recocgnized as a quake. The epicenter was about 14 miles northeast of my house, 11 miles east of San Jose.. 2/26/2001 12:57:41 PM .:. | Discuss

I was horrible when it came to having to get shots when I was younger. I came close to knocking out nurses and, finally, when I did get the shots I was not the recipient of any stickers or hero badges. It had been years since I had to have a needle stuck into my arm but last week, all by myself, I went and got blood drawn. I didn't cry. I didn't deck the nurse. I didn't even pass out. This morning after a pleasant check up with my doctor I needed to once more get some blood drawn to double check something from last week's sample. I was thisclose to putting it off until the first of never. However, me being the now oh so mature and grown up Mark that I am, I did not. I got the blood drawn and I survived. I did not get a sticker. 2/15/2001 03:43:55 PM .:. | Discuss

My company, SoftDevices, has a new slogan, "Getting it Done". We're ramping up very quickly and moving forward with quite a bit of business and so in turn we've been working on a brand new redesign of our website as well as of all of our marketing and technical documentation, etc. For the past week or so I've been designing and implementing my new site design. Over the past several days I've been working with brand new content from various co-workers. Today I worked for about 14 hours on finishing it all up. Thanks in large part to Kristin (the happy birthday girl) who stayed with me in the office until midnight getting all content and materials up and running, our new website is located at www.softdevices.com. SoftDevices. Getting the damn website done. Hmm, someone trademark that one for me, please? 2/13/2001 11:37:09 PM .:. | Discuss

So, I predicted the Oscar nominations last month and got 70.6% of them right when they were announced this morning. For those keeping track that's a few percent better than I've done for the past two years. :) Of the major categories I predicted 82.5% and of the acting categories I predicted 90%. I'll have my winner predictions out ASAP! 2/13/2001 10:33:09 AM .:. | Discuss

"Blog more Mark!" I am told. Thus I blog, more. I had very few things I needed to do this weekend. I like it that way. I did do some laundry but in the end that was a good thing. Due to the fact that I now have DSL at home on my brand new computer I worked on several new designs for several projects I am either in the process or developing and/or I felt I wanted to redesign. Is that vague enough for you? One major problem I've come across, however, is that I have a lot of files on my old computer which haven't been transfered over. Hopefully tomorrow Edmond will help me get everything set up to have both computers hooked up the router so I can move from old to new. In related news my brand new webcam is being shipped to me as I type so later this week if all goes as planned I'll be webcamming for the first time since June! So there! 2/11/2001 11:13:05 PM .:. | Discuss

I have DSL! All is well, so far. Still need to figure out how to set up the router but the worst is behind me as far as home connectivity goes, it appears. On the topic of progress today, I survived a blood test this morning. They didn't give me a hero badge (just like they didn't when I was a wee lad and was deathly afraid of such needles invading my body) but I didn't punch the nurse out. Progress. 2/9/2001 06:36:41 PM .:. | Discuss

Feeling better today. Relatively. DSL installation is supposed to happen on Thursday but I'm told that it could even be swithced on earlier so I'll take home this brand new spiffy (and speedy) computer of mine tomorrow evening to get it ready and see if DSL is up and running. I'll also be able to start ripping all of my CDs to get them onto my ultra huge 75 gigabyte hard drive. I also now have a CD writer so I'll be able to burn CDs as well. Fun, fun, fun! 2/6/2001 03:47:21 PM .:. | Discuss

Not only is it turning out to not be the best day, it's turning out increasingly weird too... There appears to be a copycat amihotornot poster (someone posting a picture of me on the amihotornot website) around and this time they appear to be located somewhere in San Jose. 2/5/2001 02:08:37 PM .:. | Discuss
