Mer and I went up to San Francisco to see 'A New Brain' on Friday. It had been getting great reviews, I had wanted to see it since I got the recording the day it was released, and Mer has a friend in the cast. Needless to say the production was fantastic and as luck would have it an old friend of mine was in the cast as well. Small world, isn't it? :) 11/26/2000 09:10:27 PM .:. | Discuss

Goin up to Pleasanton shortly to make pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes with Meredith. We will then proceed with said yummy food to San Francisco to attend Turkeyfest which if you have a great memory you will remember I attended last year as well. Those with fantastic memories will remember that it was broadcast on the internet last year as appears to be the case this year as well: live RealVideo Turkeyfest and TurkeyFest Chat. Legal complications tarnish brother's move in plans... story at 11. My brother has now learned all he ever needs to know about the art of evicting previous tenants. Fun, fun, fun! Speaking of legal complications, congratulations go out to Travis for officially passing the Bar yesterday! Thanks go out to him for all the fantastic advice recently. :) 11/17/2000 03:23:02 PM .:. | Discuss

Congratulations are in order today as California has an additional homeowner. My brother moves into his rentless and mortgagefull home today. Additional and even more exciting related news to be divulged, probably, very soon... 11/17/2000 02:05:46 PM .:. | Discuss

Well, whadya know? The bugs seem to have worked themself out. We were retro for about 9 minutes. Those who didn't see it will just have to wish they had. 11/15/2000 07:56:32 PM .:. | Discuss

Don't mind the retro pre-redesign design. I'm using a new and still very beta Blogger version and the kinks are still being worked out. Matt assures me, "I'm sure we can fix this in the morning". :) 11/15/2000 07:51:40 PM .:. | Discuss

Time flies... Three years ago I had purple hair for a production of Measure for Measure at San Jose State. I designed and was a cast member of the world premiere production of Die, Die, Diana which closed four days shy of two years ago. A year ago this Saturday, James asked me if I'd like to design a production of Sweeney Todd for a London producer. 361 days ago I started on the current Blogger powered version of this online journal after prodding from Dinah. Four months later, after enduring the hell that was PlanetWeather, Dinah got me my spiffy job at SoftDevices. Exactly six months ago, I began working full time for SoftDevices. I moved out of my parent's house and into my own one month later. Where will I be in a month? Six months? A year? Stay tuned. Time flies... 11/15/2000 01:51:59 AM .:. | Discuss

I just saw a bad production of Merrily We Roll Along. But I saw a production of Merrily We Roll Along. So it's a good thing. I see a great production of A New Brain next weekend, though, so it's all good. 11/10/2000 10:54:50 PM .:. | Discuss

My friend and fellow designer Daniel Will-Harris explains bad design and the effect it's having on this Florida election debacle. 11/8/2000 04:04:43 PM .:. | Discuss

Hey! There's my pal Jenn (in the front)! She's now in Florida working on the recount. Yay, Jenn! 11/8/2000 03:16:54 PM .:. | Discuss

Pot? Kettle? Black? Naaaaahhh... :) 11/8/2000 09:48:23 AM .:. | Discuss

I've just debated staying up all night as opposed to four hours of sleep and have decided that four hours of sleep wins... though I may demand a recount. Until then, me and my electoral college are going to sleep. Night! 11/8/2000 02:14:26 AM .:. | Discuss

What the...? Now it appears Gore has "surged" ahead and is leading by about 10,000 (out of about 98,000,000) popular votes. A difference of less than .0001. What the...? 11/8/2000 01:58:51 AM .:. | Discuss

And unless other states begin to recount or challenge the close results of their individual states, the Wisconsin and Oregon results won't make a difference. Even so, with 97% of precincts reporting, Gore is leading Bush in Wisconsin by only 287 votes. Is it live or is it a special episode of The West Wing? 11/8/2000 01:49:13 AM .:. | Discuss

What's worse is I that I had just gotten off the phone with an off to bed Her(tm), letting her know about Bush's win which was just before this all happened. I couldn't call her back to tell her the possible drama and change because it would have woken her up. There are many people in addition who I know have no idea what's going on as they're asleep and I'd love to call them and wake them up to discuss this all but I can't because they're asleep. They're getting sleep and I'm not... so more power to them. But they don't get to watch this all unfolding! Ha! 11/8/2000 01:46:12 AM .:. | Discuss

I can't sleep! With ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, NPR, the web, etc. all discussing what looks like it could be over a week of recounts, challenges, etc. as far as the Presidential election results go. I know I need to wake up in five hours and I will but... but... this is some pretty gripping theatre! 11/8/2000 01:43:14 AM .:. | Discuss

Whoa! The fat lady hasn't sung, apparently. Florida is once again "too close to call" with an automatic recall of votes since the difference between Bush and Gore is now just over 1,000 votes. I wish I could stay up to watch the drama but I've gotta be in the office for an 8:30am meeting. Just whoa. 11/8/2000 01:02:28 AM .:. | Discuss

I am the proud owner of an "I Voted" sticker. Are you? 11/7/2000 11:31:15 AM .:. | Discuss

So my predictions are that Gore (46%) will lose the popular vote to Bush (48%) who will win by a hair in electoral votes (282 for Bush and 256 for Gore). Nader (4%) will not reach the 5% popular vote, Buchanan and Browne will each receive 1%. Neither the House nor Senate will pick up the needed Democratic seats to regain majority but they will pick up 4 and 2 seats respectivley (one will be by Senator Clinton). But that's just my guess (not my hopes by any means) so get out there and vote. 11/7/2000 12:16:18 AM .:. | Discuss

A day or so ago I got my box set of "Your Show of Shows" DVDs and I've enjoyed watching them very much. It's bring back so many memories from a year and a half ago's summer stock "Laughter on the 23rd Floor". Speaking of shows, it's off to see some of Mer's friends in Victor/Victoria tonight and a good friend of mine in AMT's "Singin in the Rain" in a few weeks. And word has it Santa Clara University is doing "Merrily We Roll Along" next weekend. Fun, fun, fun! 11/4/2000 02:55:05 PM .:. | Discuss
