For some reason it just started drizzling outside. The smell of the fresh rain on the blacktop has instantly brought back memories from my elementary school playground. I love this smell...

I have been calling all over the free world this afternoon in search for the elusiveGame Boy Advance. No can do, apparently. Stupid me, deciding it'd be fun to bring it on the plane this weekend, trying to buy the thing on the day it's released. I can get crack faster and easier than I can get this thing. Thing is they won't allow me to bring said crack on the plane. Argh. If any of you can get me this thing by Friday morning, there's some cash in it for ya...

Why is it that I'm having spotty success with various BlogSpot.com blogs!? I get "page cannot be found" errors and redirected to www.blogger.com/...from a bunch of sites including: rubrchick, eastwest, and insipidity while others load just fine including tinman and blogstalker? Grrr...

I've figured out a grand little scheme...Due to hosting the party this evening I have amassed a great amount of alcohol, soda, chips, and other edible party materials. I now will not have to go shopping until March 17, at the earliest.I should have parties more often! ;-)

I just got official word that Donna, whom you've been reading about here over the last several months, will be taking over the lead role in Dirty Blonde here in San Francisco on June 19, the day after I get back from a trip to St. Louis! You better believe I'll be there on her opening night! Congrats Donna!!!

Overheard in improv sketches performed in workshop tonight included:

  • I do have a real good friend and I hate her.
  • You are such a total hottie.
  • Ask my parrot.
  • No, but I did I tape my breasts together. Can you tell?
Maybe you had to be there...

My Tony Award winning nominations did pretty well this year. The four I missed were: Scenic Design, Director of a Play, Leading Actor in a Play, and Leading Actress in a Musical. Three years ago, I predicted 14/21 (67%), two years ago 13/20 (65%), last year I got 13/21 (62%), and this year I predicted 17/ 21 (81%).Next year we'll try for at least a 18/21 (85.714285714%)! :)

Webcam

You know it. You love it. You can't get enough of it. Yes, it's the infamous webcam!

Sweeney Todd
Read all about how I, and hundreds of others, got screwed out of tens of thousands of dollars by Doug Mayo.

Times have changed and so too has the design of this site. Journey back in time with me for some redesign fun!

Assassins
I have a healthy fascination with the phenomenon of events in relation to the musical Assassins.

What people are saying:

I'm really not sure of the appeal of Mark Bakalor's site, because frankly I suspect there is none, but hell, I check it at least thrice daily, and you should too!

- dlevy

"Your website is beautifully demented. The moving head thing in the top left just does it. I've been staring at it for the past minute and still find it amusing. You're an inspiration to us all."

- Gord

"A physical middle ground between Bing Crosby and a sedated Pee-Wee Herman."

- Press Democrat

"Your website makes me giggle. tee-hee! i cannot stop myself."

- Jenn Kauffman

"Decide for yourself if this guy is brilliant or kooky."

- Brainrub.com

Brilliant!!! You're a cross between Robin Willliams and Fred Astaire!

- Mom

"I want to keep an ongoing converse with you about the end of wars, crime, death and old age... Like most, you are probably a bible reader... lets talk soon."

- Michael

"poopy shmapoopy on a purple stick."

- Emily

"People as talented as you should be smothered at birth. You're making the rest of us look like slackers."

- Brad Graham

"caCAcaca!"

- Elmer

Do you have something to add?
